Using mostly the original acoustic performances and blanketing them in a wall of electronic sound, the remixes interestingly play up the electronic aspect of Truffaz's tunes without sacrificing the acoustic balance and interplay of the originals.
Pierre Henry's take on "More," on the other hand, looks even further back, to Miles Davis's "Great Expectations" from the album Get Up with It in its extended, spacey melody and use of ambient electronic sounds.
It's a testament to Truffaz's original material though, that even when the remixes sound a bit dated, they still put a fresh spin on what was already some very visionary music. NO racial slurs here. But "Nina Valeria," a duet piece with oud virtuoso Anouar Brahem, and "Magrouni," an anthemic ditty featuring vocalist Mounir Troudi, both have Arabic tinges. Truffaz and company create a compelling sound collage that dances and trances.

Muller on the piano and fender rhodes is as imaginative in his lines and chord progressions as could be, the bass is agressive and makes a statement, Nya is philosophical in his rapping, die hard hip hop fans may find this kind of music a tough swallow, but for creative and progressive minds, this just breaks any genre barriers.
